St Thomas’ has a diverse and busy congregation and seeks to cater for all ages. It supports many ministries outside Sunday worship, such as Parent and Toddlers, Messy Church, Youth activities and Small Groups. Accessible worship, children’s and youth work, prayer, mission, biblical teaching and the presence and gifts of God’s Spirit have long been important strands in the church’s life. Sunday morning at St Thomas’ is informal with a worship group leading the sung worship and Junior Church groups meeting for 3-18 year olds, except for the monthly All Age Service. Prayer Ministry is offered at most services. Every year there is either a residential Church Weekend or family camping weekend which attract large numbers.
On Mondays during term time, Parents and Toddlers meets at Holy Trinity. It caters for up to 40 children plus their parents and carers. There are Messy Church sessions approximately once a school term on Saturday Mornings for more information see Children and Young People area of this website.
Approximately ten Small Groups (some age/gender specific) meet at different venues throughout the week. There are a variety of everts organised for teenagers. In addition Impax (Urban Saints) meets weekly at the Paxcroft Mead Community Centre. Wiltshire Youth for Christ have their base in Trowbridge and employ a Schools Worker.
