Christian Action in the Trowbridge Area (CATA)
CATA is a relational association of 12 churches in the town aiming to share information and work together in ministry to the town. Members of St Thomas’ Church have played major roles in CATA over the years.
A number of very effective areas of joint ministry have developed, supported by CATA. This includes Street Pastors, town chaplains, a debt advice centre, a soup run, a homeless support charity, a foodbank and a men’s organisation called MenUnited. This is in addition to occasional joint services, an annual Good Friday march of witness, and other outdoor services, celebrations and acts of witness.
